Notes

  • Be sure to check ingredient labels or check with manufacturers to make sure all of your ingredients are gluten-free. Product ingredients sometimes do change.
  • I used Schar Gluten-Free Baguettes for this recipe. It comes with two baguettes, 6 oz each, for a total of 12 oz of baguette. Depending on what baguette you use, you may have only one baguette instead of the two I had. You can typically find Schar gluten-free baguettes at your local grocery store in either the bread aisle or gluten-free aisle. They also sell them online.
  • To make this recipe dairy-free and vegan, use a vegan baguette, vegan butter, and omit the parmesan cheese or use a dairy-free substitute (I like Follow Your Heart Vegan Parmesan).
  • You can make the compound butter up to a week in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • You can slather the bread with the compound butter and parmesan cheese and then freeze until ready to bake. Place on a baking sheet to flash freeze for an hour and then wrap in parchment paper and store in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag for up to a month. It may take a few extra minutes of baking time since the bread will be frozen.
  • You can store leftover cooked garlic bread in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes until the butter is melted OR reheat in your air fryer at 350F for 2-3 minutes.
  • For longer storage, you can freeze cooked garlic bread. Place on a baking sheet and flash freeze for an hour and then place in a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat using the methods above for refrigerator storage.
