Chocolate Strawberry Banana Baked Oatmeal

This chocolate strawberry banana baked oatmeal is gluten free and great for entertaining! Just make ahead and reheat for brunch!

For the Baked Oatmeal:

  • 3 large bananas mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 1/2 cups gluten free certified oats
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries

For Topping:

  • 1 large banana cut in 1/2 inch slices
  • 1/4 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 tbsp honey for serving
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips for serving


  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a medium bowl, mash 3 large bananas, to get about 1 1/2 cups of mashed banana. Combine the mashed bananas with the eggs, cocoa powder, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth.
  • Then, add in the milk and continue whisking until there are no clumps.
  • Stir in the oats and the strawberries.
  • Spray the inside of an 8x8 inch casserole dish or late pie pan with non-stick spray.
  • Pour the oat mixture in the plan.
  • Arrange the banana slices and strawberry slices on top of the oatmeal mixture.
  • Bake in the oven at 350F for 45 minutes.
  • Serve warm with a drizzle of honey and some chocolate chips.
