Crumble and cook the breakfast sausage in a cast iron skillet until cooked through.

Remove the sausage from the skillet and place on a plate.

Add the olive oil and onions to the cast iron skillet.

Sauté the diced onions in olive oil until translucent.

Add the bell peppers and sweet potatoes to the skillet. Season with the spices and stir to combine.

Cook until the sweet potatoes are tender. You should be able to pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork easily after cooking.

Add the cooked sausage back to the skillet and stir. Cook for a few more minutes to heat the sausage back up.
